“These are a great treat for everyone, spice them and bake in the oven and they will get nice and crispy as they cool down ready to eat. We roll these out at dinner parties and kids parties. Everyone loves the crunch and salty spice."
Crispy Roast Chickpeas
INGREDIENTS
2 tbsp olive oil
1 (400g) tin chickpeas
2 tbsp spice mix
DIRECTIONS
Preheat an oven to 180℃.
Wash chickpeas under cold water and allow to drain.
Whisk the oil and spice mix together in a small bowl. We used Bernie Smokey Spicy for this recipe, but you can use any of the Harvey’s Kitchen spices to suit your taste.
Add the chickpeas and toss in oil mix to coat.
Line a large baking tray with baking paper.
Spread chickpeas on a baking tray in a single layer.
Roast in the preheated oven tossing occasionally until nicely browned and slightly crispy. This will take about 45 minutes.
Serve as soon as they don’t burn your mouth.
