Butter is a great way to add richness and flavour to a dish when cooking and especially just before you serve. Rubbing a cooked steak, coating a cooked Chicken breast with salted and flavoured butter can add that extra aspect to a dish and give it depth.
This is a simple recipe using salted butter and Harvey's spice mixes to create a great fridge essential.
Flavoured Butter Finisher
INGREDIENTS250gr Salted Butter
1/4 cup "Hugo" Spice Blend (Use any of the Speice Blends)
STEP 1
Allow butter to come to room temperature
STEP 2
In a large bowl add spice mix and using a spoon integrate spice and butter till smooth (you can also do this in a mixer if desired)
STEP 3
Cut a 30cm square piece of baking paper and place butter mix in middle. Roll paper into a cylinder and twist the ends, put in fridge and allow to set.
STEP 4
Cut into desired sizes and use to cook or as a finishing for meats
